From September 8–11, 2026, Brno became a meeting place for the European and international cartographic community. More than 260 participants came together for four days of presentations, keynote lectures, workshops, poster sessions, discussions, and networking.
Under the motto “Let’s transform cartography together”, EuroCarto 2026 provided a platform for researchers, professionals, and students to exchange ideas, share new developments, and discuss the future of cartography, geovisualization, and spatial technologies.
The conference began on Tuesday, September 8, with pre-conference workshops, followed by the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception in the evening. The main scientific programme continued from Wednesday to Friday at Masaryk University.
Organized by the Czech Cartographic Society under the patronage of the International Cartographic Association, EuroCarto 2026 welcomed participants from across Europe and beyond, bringing together a diverse community with a shared interest in the transformation and future of cartography.
